Out of the Mouth of Babes...

One of the most perspective-altering circumstances of life must be having children.  There is so much in the Bible that comes into view - God's love for us, and our relationship to Him - when you have your own kids.  A few nights ago we had one of those "revelatory moments".

Kenimer, our almost-4-year-old, is quite slow to get to sleep, and tends to sneak out of bed over and over again long after his bedtime.  Well, after Cyle (Mommy) put him back to bed for the umpteenth time the following conversation occurred...

Kenimer said, "Mommy, there is something knocking in my room."

Who knows what it was - maybe an insect bumping against the window, rushing for the light filtering through the blinds.  Or maybe God knocking?

Mommy replied "I think it's God knocking on your heart."

Kenimer looks thoughtful, then added, "God is saying, 'HEY - LET ME IN!'"

Mommy noddeed, and smiled, "Uh huh", affirmatively.

Kenimer then blew our hearts wide open with, "I think I gonna open the door and let God in.  I'm gonna say 'HEY GOD!'!"

Revelation 3:20 states, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."

A message not to the lost, but to His church - believers who have slipped into the bad habit of doing the Christian life without Christ - without the Holy Spirit's active guidance - without the day-to-day reality of God's presence.

I think I'm gonna open the door and let God in.

    "HEY GOD!"

I was searching looking for clear answers about the Band Mute Math. I am Christian who deals with youth in the South Bronx, I am trying to reach them through music. Was thinking Mute Math would be a good bridge. I have know their Lp and the first full lenght album has a lot of Christian undertones.
The New Album has some songs that sound Christian. I am on the Fence. I'm enjoying it, but want to trust their intentions. what do you think?
