December 27th, 2008.  North Island Church, which my father-in-law pastors and planted only shortly before, hosted my brother-in-law, McKendree Tucker, in playing an end-of-the-year show, where he debuted many brand new songs, and invited my wife & I (Saint Lewis), and their sister, Bethany, to do the same.  It was a special night, to say the least.

Well, around thanksgiving of this year my wife had an idea: let’s make it annual, and not so much like their is one artist, and all of the others open, but make it one band - showcasing one another’s songs, unified in supporting each other’s ministry.  Well, it came together: on December 27th, 2009 McKendree, Bethany, Cyle, & myself all took the stage, backed up by our friends T.J., Gary, & Mitch, and debuted at least 1 1/2 hours of new material, much of which had just been finished the day before, and very little of which had been rehearsed for more than 15 minutes per song.

Needless to say, it wasn’t the tightest set ever, but God moved for real on that place.  Bethany’s husband, Zach Presten, shared his heart about both worship, and what God is going to do in 2010, and let’s just say this: God’s Spirit was all over that guy.  It was AWESOME.

Though my voice was only barely in tacked by the time the set began (we had helped lead in the morning, and I had been singing non-stop for days), and the band isn’t as tight as it could be, I wanted to share these two clips of some of our newer songs from that night.  The first is “Joy in the Morning”, a new worship song I primarily wrote, with some significant editing help from my wife, and “God’s got your Back”, an inspirational song for believers who find themselves going through a tough patch, which my wife primarily wrote (though I helped a bit with the verses which aren’t on this video clip).

    I hope they bless you!
